What is the Young Friends Board?
The Young LFCS Friends Board is a group of men and women in their 20s through early 40s who are dedicated to having fun and the continued success of LFCS.
What are the goals of the Young Friends Board?
The goals of the board are to build future leadership for LFCS, increase awareness of the mission of LFCS, create additional sources of revenue for LFCS through fund raising efforts, and to enhance the volunteer base of LFCS.
What are the activities of the Young Friends Board?
The board will plan and facilitate two outreach efforts per year to bring awareness to the community about LFCS and also to increase revenue for LFCS.
The first such event was held in October of 2005. The Young Friends wine tasting party was huge success with more than 70 in attendance having fun, tasting wonderful wine, appetizers and enjoying the company of others.
What are the responsibilities of members of the Young Friends Board?
We understand that life is busy and many members have young children. Therefore, our goal is to provide members with an opportunity to make a difference and provide much needed assistance with a minimal amount of time involved. Members are asked to attend all scheduled meetings (approximately 4 per year). Members are also asked to assist with the planning and implementation of projects/events as determined by the Young Friends Board.
