The Women's Association of LFCS is a dedicated group of women from the St. Louis metropolitan area who help support the agency's mission through fund raising, friend-raising, and project support each year. Our group works hard - but we also have fun in the process! Being a part of the Women's Association is an enjoyable way to help a great cause. And the time commitment is minimal - we know everyone leads a full and busy life and we structure our meetings and projects keeping this in mind.

Women's Association Annual Projects

Meetings
Members are asked to attend all regularly scheduled meetings to plan and implement the events hosted by the group.

The Charitable Event
The Charitable Event is the group's signature fund raising/recruitment event of the year! Each year a new artistic theme is selected. Local and national artists participate by creating an original piece centering on the theme. Additionally, the committee solicits fun items that relate to the theme. A fun venue is selected where all of the items are auctioned at a cocktail reception. Not only are important funds raised, but the group is asked to invite potential new Women's Association members so they can become more familiar with the programs and services of LFCS.

Baby Shower
Each year, the Women's Association hosts a baby shower/party for both its members and invited guests. The shower is a fun way to collect baby items that are much-needed for the babies served through LFCS's foster care, adoption, and birth mom support programs.
