LFCS Adds Jones as Family Resource Coordinator

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Sept. 5, 2006 – Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri has added Amanda Jones as family resource coordinator in its southwest regional office.
Jones is responsible for recruitment, assessment, training and support of foster families in southwest Missouri. She networks with communities, businesses and organizations to help find potential foster homes and builds relationships with the media to help support recruitment efforts. She also provides Specialized Training, Assessment, Resources, Support and Skills (STARS) training for potential foster families and home study assessments for the licensing process.

Prior to joining LFCS, Jones worked for three and a half years in residential treatment and for one year providing case management for at-risk youth in both young parent and worksite programs. She received her master’s degree in social work from Missouri State University in May 2006 with a 4.0 GPA and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Drury University in 2002. Jones recently received her provisional license and is working to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
