LFCS Names New Board Members

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 01, 2005 - Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri has elected eight new board members. The new board members will serve three- year terms and participate on an agency advisory committee.

LFCS' new board members include Kevin Alphin, cartographer for National Imagery and Mapping Agency; Elaine Richter Bryant, director of LCMS World Relief; Adam Ferguson, analyst/Web developer for St. Louis University-SLUCare; Theodore (Teddy) Foster Jr., director of human resources for Human Development Corp.; James (Jim) Haertling, director of financial systems development/accountant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car; Bobbi Jones, field compliance coordinator for State Farm Insurance; Kathryn Mehlhorn, retired director of Birthright St. Louis; and Cheryl Patrick, life insurance underwriter for Unitrin Co.

Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri is a non-profit, statewide social service organization providing counseling, adoption, crisis pregnancy assistance, day care and mentoring services to the community. With offices in St. Louis, Columbia, Cape Girardeau and Springfield, LFCS touches the lives of more than 22,000 individuals annually. The services provided by LFCS are open to everyone regardless of race, faith, national origin, gender or age. Although Lutheran based, more than 80 percent of families served are non-Lutheran.
