
The Mid-Missorui office will be hosting the 11th Annual Festival of Trees starting Nov. 28. LFCS’ Festival of Trees will be offering a range of NEW events for several days during the holiday season. -Glamour Night Out – Cocktail Party
Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007
Offering a girls night out, this event will feature a fashion show, a floral presentation, silent auction and wine, champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Ladies also will have the opportunity to shop at 15 different stations, at which they will be able to purchase gifts for themselves or a friend or relative. Ten percent of the sales at these stations will be donated back to LFCS. Tickets for the Glamour Night Out, which will run from 5:30-8 p.m., are $30.

-Holiday Home Luncheon

Starting at 11:30 a.m., this popular luncheon event will feature a floral demonstration by Kent Anderson of Kent’s Floral and Gifts and tips on holiday appetizers from Craig Cyr of Wine Cellar and Bistro. Attendees also will have the opportunity to bid on jewelry in a live auction. Tickets for the luncheon are $25. Click here to purchase your tickets online.
-Gala – Dinner and Dancing

This black tie optional event will include silent and oral auctions to benefit LFCS. Trees decorated by a variety of local organizations will be auctioned off during the live auction. Those who attend the Glamour Night Out and Holiday Home Luncheon may submit sealed bids in advance. The $75 gala tickets are limited and include a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner with complimentary wine. The gala begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction at 7:30 p.m., followed by dancing.

The Festival of Trees is made possible by many volunteers and sponsors. This year’s co-chairs include Michele Towns, Stacy Peters and Catherine Lavitt.
LFCS’ Columbia office provides adoption services, crisis pregnancy counseling, licensed foster care, mentoring services and disaster response for the Columbia area and surrounding communities. Since its inception in 1995, the mid-Missouri office has worked with more than 425 adoptive families, placed more than 140 children and served more than 1,000 total clients.
