TWO LOCATIONS FOR 2008 LFCS FAMILY WALK/RUN

Please join LFCS for the 13th Annual Family Walk located in the Upper Muny Parking Lot in Forest Park AND at the Lutheran High School of St. Charles County. The LFCS Family walk will be held at both locations on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Come enjoy a 3-mile kid friendly walk route, family game arena, children’s activities, exhibitor booths and free refreshments provided by Dierbergs. Don’t forget about the 5-K competitive run! Participants will be timed and prizes will be awarded. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Runners, start your engines at 8:30 a.m. and walkers gear up at 9:00 a.m. To join the fun call 314/787-5100 or register online.

Registration Individual Registration:
Registration fee is $25 for 5K competitive run participants and individual walkers and $10 for children under 12 years of age. All participants receive a t-shirt and run participants will receive a race number on the day of the event. Wheelchair participants are welcome. This event will occur rain or shine. (LFCS reserves the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In the event of cancellation, all registration fees and pledges will be considered a charitable contribution.)

Register Your Team: You can organize a team with your family, co-workers, school friends, church group members or community group. Teams are asked to set a team goal and ask friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to sponsor them. To register your team and receive your Team Packet, which includes information on recruiting team members, sponsors and other information, call 314/787-5100.

3 Ways to Register

1. On-line Registration
Register NOW.

2. Mail-in Registration
To register by mail, entry forms must be completed, signed and mailed along with registration fees or pledges to the address on the entry form. All mail registrations must be postmarked by March 31, 2008 in order to receive the event t-shirt by mail. After March 31, your t-shirt can be picked up the day of the event at the pre-registration table. (Please do not send cash through the mail.)

3. Event Day Registration
Just go to the registration table on event day to participate. Individual registration fees are $25 for walkers and runners and $10 for children under 12. Teams are also encouraged to join us on event day and can turn in collected pledges at the registration table before the walk begins.

The Organization
Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri (LFCS) provides adoption, foster care, counseling, child day care, youth mentoring and disaster relief services. LFCS annually provides services to 22,000 children and adults. The money raised by the LFCS Family Walk will benefit these programs.
