LFCS AUction 2009

TAKE A PEEK! View Event Photos
The 27th Helping Hands Auction is the largest fundraising event for Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri. This year's chairs, Tom and Shirley Kopatz, offered an exclusive"LFCS Boarding Pass" to anyone who enjoyed supporting a great cause and organization. LFCS' goal was to raise $300,000, which will stay here in Missouri and help our neighbors in need. A few examples of assistance would include offering reduced or free counseling services to a family, providing financial assistance for utilities or rent, and when requested placing a child or sibling group into a loving foster family, while providing services to the parents.

Over 150 guests attended the Soiree at the Country Club of Missouri and enjoyed an evening with good food, libations and the opportunity to shop.

You can still help light the way home for a child! If you were near Carondelet Park on Saturday, May 2, you probably stopped to enjoy the view of the glowing luminaries. Those attending the ‘Light the Way’ Family Picnic know there is more to a luminary than just a brown paper bag filled with sand and a candle. That evening, LFCS lit 1858 luminaries to represent the number of children that are waiting to be adopted in the state of Missouri. Thank you to the many friends and families sponsored luminaries for $25 in order to raise monies for the adoption and foster care programs of LFCS. Although the date of the event is past, the lighting of the luminaries will continue year round. If you were unable to join us, you still have the opportunity to light the way home for a child. DONATE NOW - Light A Luminary. For more information contact Virginia at 314-754-2785 or send us an e-mail.
