Please join Lutheran Family and Children's Services in Putting Kids First in St. Louis County! LFCS supports the campaign to create a Community Children's Service Fund in St. Louis County. LFCS provides advocacy services in the following areas:
Legislative Advocacy
- Advocating for policy changes that affect vulnerable populations
- Testifying, lobbying and networking within the legislative system.
Educational Advocacy
- Providing education activities for community and church-based groups.
- Distributing education information, including LFCS Legislative Updates and Action Alerts to keep the LFCS Advocacy Network and the public informed about children and family issues and to provide avenues for action
- Hosting the Annual Bringewatt Social Justice Event to honor Reverend Bringewatt (past president of LFCS) and to celebrate efforts of advocacy in the community.
Individual Advocacy
- Advocating on behalf off clients experiencing problems with government benefits or other systems that affect quality of life.
